History
Towards the end of the 1930s, doctors Eduardo Otero, Luis Mariano Cabrera and Remberto Bruzual created an outpatient clinic at the corner of Miguelacho No. 20,
in the heart of the central area, an outpatient clinic. In the following years they developed the idea of converting the outpatient clinic into a clinic with hospitalization, moving their services in 1940 to the corner of Corazón de Jesús and later to the corner of Manduca, where they planned to start with 10 hospitalization beds. It was not until February 3, 1958, when the nowadays known Clínica Santiago de León was founded in the middle of Libertador Avenue in Caracas.
Since 1958, the Clínica Santiago de León has grown in terms of physical structure and medical services, expanding and diversifying considerably the medical services offered, with a long history of more than 65 years of operation. However, on June 15, 2012, a milestone was set, due to the fact that during the celebration of an Extraordinary Shareholders’ Meeting, it was acquired by a new group of entrepreneurs whose main objective is to modernize the clinic in all its services, providing it with new state-of-the-art technological equipment, remodeling and reconditioning the physical structure to the current needs of its patients and users, to guarantee them an experience of services with the highest standards of quality care.
From the moment the acquisition was crystallized, a process of transformation of the institution began, which today allows us to affirm “We are the Clinic of Life”. Providing international quality services to each of our patients, with emphasis on innovation, safety and sustainability.
